Lexical Discovery with an Enriched Semantic Network

چکیده
The study of lexical semantics has produced a systematic analysis of relationships between content words that has greatly bene ted both lexical search tools and natural language processing systems. We describe research toward a common algorithmic core for these two applications. We rst introduce a database system called FreeNet that facilitates the description and exploration nite binary relations. We then describe the design and implementation of Lexical FreeNet, a semantic network that mixes WordNet-derived semantic relations with data-derived and phonetically-derived relations. We discuss how Lexical FreeNet has aided in lexical discovery, the pursuit of linguistic and factual knowledge by the computer-aided exploration of lexical relations, and relate this to ongoing research in how the system can be employed in natural language processing algorithms for segmentation and summarization. The Semantics of the Word Istikbar (Arrogance) in the Holy Quran based on Syntagmatic Relations(A Case Study of Semantic Proximity and Semantic Contrast)
The word istikbar (arrogance) is one of the key words in the monotheistic system of the Quran, which has found a special status as a special feature of the opponents and adversaries of the call to the truth. Given the prominent role of this issue in the human life system and its provision of corruption and moral deviations, it is necessary to represent the nature of the elements that make up th...
متن کاملCluster Based Cross Layer Intelligent Service Discovery for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks
The ability to discover services in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a major prerequisite. Cluster basedcross layer intelligent service discovery for MANET (CBISD) is cluster based architecture, caching ofsemantic details of services and intelligent forwarding using network layer mechanisms. The cluster basedarchitecture using semantic knowledge provides scalability and accuracy. Also, the mini...
متن کاملOn the Problem of Lexical Semantic Change
The article provides an insight into a problem of lexical semantic change. A short historical outline of the development of semantic studies is given. The authors analyze some of the most important stages in the history of the formation of this field. The existing approaches to dealing with form and meaning, namely semasiological and onomasiological ones are discussed. The authors consider the ...
متن کاملEnriching Word Embeddings Using Knowledge Graph for Semantic Tagging in Conversational Dialog Systems
Unsupervised word embeddings provide rich linguistic and conceptual information about words. However, they may provide weak information about domain specific semantic relations for certain tasks such as semantic parsing of natural language queries, where such information about words can be valuable. To encode the prior knowledge about the semantic word relations, we present new method as follow...
متن کاملSimple_PLUS: a network of lexical semantic relations
The present article deals with the Italian lexical-semantic database Simple_PLUS and focuses on its essential core, i.e. the network of lexical semantic relations. This lexical resource builds on Parole-Simple-Clips, a four-layered electronic lexicon of Italian, founded on the SIMPLE model. Simple_PLUS consists of 30,000 semantic entries, partly imported from the source lexicon and partly newly...
